RETRO ROLE PLAYING GAME FEEL IN A COOPERATIVE DARK FANTASY BOARD GAME! DUNGEON DEGENERATES - HAND OF DOOM is a fantasy adventure board game from GOBLINKO. Blending a Dark & Dirty Old School role playing game aesthetic with an easy to learn, fast-moving & engaging board game system, DUNGEON DEGENERATES delivers the dark fantasy adventure you want, when you want it. Players choose between four adventuring Degenerates who have been imprisoned for various crimes of survival. As they make their way out of Brüttelberg into the decaying Eastern provinces of the Würstreich they must take on strange & dangerous adventures & fighting against the corruption & decadence that have set into the land. Monsters, cultists, witches, demons & wizards have taken advantage of the rot & are encroaching on civilization. As if that wasn’t enough, the Necromancer’s Hand of Doom points down on the land & disrupts the natural order with Hellish resolve.

The Lowlands of the Würstreich are crawling with militiamen, road wardens, bounty hunters, inquisitors & the like - on the hunt for heretics, criminals, vagrants & anyone they can victimize or extort!

When you're in the Lowlands (the blue region of the map), if your Danger Card draw doesn't trigger monsters or an encounter, you can still run into law enforcement if the Danger card value is equal to or less than the current Bounty Level, even (especially) if you're in town! Unless you can bribe them, you'll have to fight for your life or find yourself rotting in tbe donjons of Brüttelberg (or worse)!

Bounty Level typically starts at 3, but can fluctuate during the course of the game depending on your actions. Agents of the law are sometimes even found patrolling the Highlands, so be on your guard & don't get caught!

The $65k stretch goal adds these mechanics to the game, along with a 12-card deck of Law enemies & 2 law cards for the Epic Monster deck: the High Inquisitor & the deadly Guild Assassin!

WE CRACKED $60,000!!! ADVENTURER MINIATURE ADD-ONS UNLOCKED!!!

YES! We did it! We will be making miniatures of the first eight DUNGEON DEGENERATES adventurers! Two sets of four miniatures each. 32mm, cast in resin. Set 1 is the Bloodsport Brawler, Mercenary Alchemist, Hinterlander & Void Witch. Set 2 is the Bog Conjurer, Corpse Burner, Vermin Hunter & Witch Smeller! Each set is $30 & can be yours as an add-on to your pledge base.

STRETCH GOAL #5 IS REVEALED! IT'S THE FUZZ! YOU'RE BUSTED!

14 new enemies, the Law Deck & Bounty Level mechanic will be added to every box of DUNGEON DEGENERATES - HAND OF DOOM when we bust through the $65,000 mark! An empire in decline is the ripe & rotten breeding ground for corruption on all tiers of society - nowhere is safe!

DUNGEON DEGENERATES Play Along Adventure - Turn 10

Eager to leave Gutfish Ford before you attract any more attention from the locals, you decide to head South through the Burning Lakes. The Alchemist squints at you & shrugs his shoulders, evidently not in the mood to argue after his recent injury & puff of the witch weed. You assure him that the bandits must be willing to pay more for exotic meats, although you haven’t entirely convinced yourself.

You make your way slowly & carefully along an old trading path through the noxious & corrupted area of rocky dead wetlands known to locals as the Burning Lakes. Clouds of toxic fog gather from the hissing pools of poison & block your view of the harsh landscape. Whatever lurks out there in this cursed place leaves you be & you soon find yourself within a stone’s throw of the rotting ruins of an old Imperial outpost village, now sunken into the Wetlands.

The Alchemist points at the skeletal rotting timbers of an ancient building & begins to say something, when his foot slips & he plunges out of sight into a hidden pit! A man-sized frogbeast emerges from a pile of muck nearby & brandishes a forked spear at the Alchemist from the edge of the pit. As you advance on it, a boom & puff of smoke burst from the pit below, the Alchemist’s pistol felling the creature in a single shot. You help the Alchemist climb from the thing’s trap before inspecting its corpse. Part toad, part fish, with hands like a man... you take what meat you can & leave the bones & gristle for the clouds of swamp flies.

As you feel yourself being watched, you quickly agree with the Alchemist to keep on the move. Together, you plunge into the Rotting Swamp, in hopes of finding the sacred gathering place at the Stone Circle before making camp. It’s not long before you come across another wide pit dug into the mushy green earth, poorly concealed amidst the foliage & reeds. As you approach cautiously, checking in all directions for ambush, a repetitive squishing noise like some trapped beast trying to escape issues from inside the pit.

When you reach the edge of the pit, you see a hulking beast shaped like a mighty hunchback & seemingly made up of or covered in mud, leaves, foliage, lichen & vines or roots. To your bewilderment & disgust, it appears to be rutting with a growth of vegetation & fungus at the bottom of the pit, creating a rhythmic squelching noise as it squats in the mud. It turns to face you, seemingly as shocked as you are & you realize that it is not trapped at all when it stands to full height and begins to pull itself up out of the pit with ease!

The Alchemist fires a shot that rips a chunk of the creature, but if it notices, you can’t tell. Seizing your opportunity, you jump & land gauntlet-first on the thing’s head, driving your full weight through the creature, cleaving away a third of its body. Twisting your ankle at the bottom of the pit, you fall to one knee just before the thing comes down on top of you. Fortunately, it is off-balance & you finish it quickly, covered in the slimy muck the thing had for innards.

This time the Alchemist helps you out of the pit & you do your best to wash off the disgusting pit-fiend’s slime. You shudder & limp on towards the relative safety of the small camp of wizards & wild folk gathered amongst the ancient structures at the Stone Circle.

Joining locals & other travellers at the campfire, you discuss your next move. The Alchemist insists on heading back towards Pigskin Port, so you consider retracing your steps through the Sunken Village come morning. The Alchemist speaks to a tall, gaunt man with long greasy hair, a carved wooden staff & a crow perched on the shoulder of his filthy vest. The man talks to him for a while before the Alchemist eventually purchases a bag of pills & hands them to you, claiming they should hopefully help with your swelling leg. You down the pills & hope for the best, although the Alchemist’s concerned attention has you a little worried yourself. The Alchemist tells you that this lanky Bog Conjurer has offered to guide you through the swamps, but he thought better of it, since he’d seen the fellow speaking to his walking stick earlier. The Alchemist gives a weak smirk & reassures you that the man wouldn’t poison you if he was looking for a job. As the pills kick in, the pain in your ankle fades away & you feel weariness overtake you.

After a good night’s sleep, you wake & ready yourself for the road.

A new stretch goal is unlocked!!!

We've reached $55,000 on our campaign, thank you to everyone who has pledged! The World Books are now unlocked and available as an add-on! Next up, we're going to be adding more loot cards to everyone's game!

And after that... we're making adventurer miniatures!

Help us get up past the $60,000 mark so we can do these miniatures! We have just 10 days left to go, tell your friends, tell your enemies, tell everyone!
